Read NZ Te Pou Muramura Teachers Reading Challenge Terms and Conditions

The Teachers Reading Challenge is open to all teachers, librarians, and staff employed (either on a full-time or casual basis) by schools in Aotearoa New Zealand.

This website, Teachers Reading Challenge (www.reading-challenge.org.nz), is operated by Read NZ Te Pou Muramura (referred to as “Read NZ Te Pou Muramura/we/our/us”). As a user of the website (referred to as “you/your/user”) you acknowledge that any use of the website is subject to our terms and conditions below.

To be eligible for a prize in the Teachers Reading Challenge, entrants must log their pages read using the website functionality.

Entrants must log this activity during the competition period (20 November 2023 to January 28 2024).

For each page read, the user will be assigned one point: unless the pages logged are from an Aotearoa New Zealand text, in which case each page read will be assigned two points.

Read NZ Te Pou Muramura retains the right to choose the winners of the prizes from those entries who have logged reading activity.

All registered users of Teachers Reading Challenge website must supply an email address. Read NZ Te Pou Muramura retains the right to use this email address to notify winners of prizes won, and to arrange delivery. Read NZ Te Pou Muramura retains the right to use these email addresses to contact players to advise of any changes to the competition.

As per our Privacy Policy, we will never share your personal information with any third parties. The only instance we will share your personal information is in the event you are a competition winner.

Read NZ Te Pou Muramura accepts no responsibility for lost, damaged or misdirected prizes.

Prizes are not transferable, not redeemable for cash, and no exchanges will be made.

Read NZ Te Pou Muramura reserves the right to exchange the prize for another prize of equal or better value, in the event the prize is unavailable at the end of the competition.

Read NZ Te Pou Muramura retains the right to exclude members from competitions if we believe the Terms and Conditions have not been met.

All competition end dates, prize details, and any other terms and conditions will be included on the main Read NZ Te Pou Muramura website.

The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Winners will be notified by email or phone within 7 days of the competition closing.

Prizes must be claimed within three months of the competition ending.
