I did end up getting into it, and it was a good story, but I think that the pacing was perhaps a little slow at the start, and I found some of the decisions quite frustrating. I did end up crying though! Which is either a good or bad sign depending on who you are haha, but I class it as a good sign in this instance.

Really enjoyed this book - simultaneously important and entertaining

Great sequel to Six of Crows, with more backstory. Heist-style without it being a literal second heist. The book is divided into six parts, so it almost feels like six mini books in one. Pretty good mix of being able to figure out where they might go next with the plot, and some surprises.

Great spin on a heist book (part of a duology). Seems at first like the characters are just your classic 'thieves and thugs with hearts of gold' but they do get fleshed out and have satisfying character development too. I also like the seamless LGBTQIA+ romance aspects - always good to see representation without it being a big deal.

Such a cute book, I loved reading this so much. I feel like I haven't really read anything else like this - it feels new. The messaging perhaps got a little repetitive towards the end, but when the message is so sweet you don't really mind. Excellent LGBTQIA+ love story (and not in an expected way).

A little bit ridiculous but super enjoyable all the same. In some ways a light-hearted read, but it does also address deeper themes than a simple rom/com novel.

  • Circe

Incredible book, I read it in two days! I already love Greek Mythology, but the feminist framework that Circe's stories were told really made it for me. Both utterly enjoyable and thought provoking.
