Definitely not the greatest book I’ve ever read, but it is decent if you are looking for a quick easy read without much plot. Good buffer book between heavy reading books .
A Kingdom of Fire and Fate" is generally considered a satisfying conclusion to the "Stars and Shadows" series.
Super satisfying conclusion! the Big Bad, the townspeople, the MC's, the MAGIC! All the love and physical spice done SO WELL I nearly fell INTO the PAGES! Worth the read, without a doubt!
The tension in this book is amazing. I loved learning more about the Blood Court and the new characters introduced.
I really enjoyed this tale! A Kingdom of Stars and Shadows checked off all of boxes for a great romantasy. There was intriguing magic, perilous secrets, who can I trust characters, a compelling story-line, and entertaining dialogue. Evren's character captivated me,I did tend to stumble over the character's names when reading though. The cliffhanger was brutal and I look forward to continuing on with the series. Can Adara trust Evren? Or is Adara better off with Gavriel, the evil she knows? What does the prophecy hold for Adara and her future? Gah!
I devoured this in one day, I legitimately couldn't put it down. I have to say this is my favorite book of the series, Jeneane's writing has improved so much since book 1 and this one was just an absolute gem
I’m so excited to recommend this trilogy for fantasy lovers , The union, family, friendship and love play a very important role on it , especially the identity and discovery of who you are and what path to follow to make the world a better place , I also recommend it for those who want to enjoy a totally beautiful world building, it’s one of the most beautiful and real worlds of which I’ve read, and although the war is always present in these books has never lost the magic
Once things picked up, Days of Blood and Starlight became an enjoyable read. It is a very original story and features complex, multi-faceted characters who grow over the course of the book. Perhaps the most praiseworthy aspect of this book, however, is Taylor's writing.
Daughter of Smoke and Bone is beautifully written and Taylor's story telling is breath-taking and intricate. I was immersed into the beautiful world Taylor has built, and the character and world building is rich and detailed.
I think that ‘Pucking Around’ is an easy-to-read, light-hearted hockey romance. It takes the well-used reverse harem trope and tries to ground it in a more real and practical way, but it's over kill on the spice and really quite unrealistic, massive book to read !!
Spicy! Girl meets Boy, has a single night of hot steamy memories , Girl leaves without Boy not knowing her name or number
I adore this series, a beautiful story full of kick-arse lead females drawl worthy lead males, and the stars of the show the stunning magical Dragons (I am so emotionally invested in them page 445 broke me) Well worth the read if you loved the first two books. I hope that wasn't the last
I have read every book ever printed by Lucinda , this is typically her style , I found myself frustrated in parts as I knew where the story was leading early on , but alas still worth a read even to highlight the atrocities that happened in the past. These things should never be forgotten.
Couldn't wait to finish this one , whiny whinge lead females are not my thing
Dark , twisted romance, struggled with this one
This follows dragon shifters and their lost mate
Short , shifter reverse harem book, this one involves wolf shifters and a lost mate
The story takes us to a hostile place, where good and evil take forms we're not used to. Some parts could be very disturbing for some people. Has a dark book warning, but I'm pretty use to read dark materials so I enjoyed it .
Not so frustrated with this book as a whole , I was swept up in the Grim-Isla love hate relationship.. I'm 100% annoyed at the ending...Alex best get writing book 4 asap!
Dear lord I have never ever got so frustrated with a lead female before , I complained,I raved, I got so frustrated , andI discussed this with my poor daughter endlessly.. I devoured this book #teamGrim
On the whole, the book is good for young readers. The concept was different but the plot and story could have been made much much stronger. But considering the fact this is targeted to young adults and cannot be made more complex I am not complaining. I'm looking forward to book two
Was a physiological thriller with a whole lot of spice throw in ..
I know that’s such a bold claim, but this series was breathtakingly beautiful. The characters will embed themselves into your heart forever, and this story is one that was impossible to put down. If you love fantasy, romantasy, romance, enemies to lovers, and found family, I can’t recommend this final book and series enough!
A Crown This Cold and Heavy was laced with death, secrets, friendship, torture, lies and love. This was an emotionally powerful book that took this series to new heights. Prophecies lay in wait that were soul shattering. The torture will rob you of your breath. Alliances were formed that were smile inducing, yet will leave you feeling angsty. And plans were created that were terrifying because every single thing could go wrong and blow up in their faces.
This novel gave us a fascinating insight into Lorian's childhood, providing an opportunity to understand his character better. We also got to see the growing relationship between Prisca and Lorian. However, the pacing of the story felt a bit uneven. Nonetheless, it was an engaging read, and I am excited to see what the rest of the series has in store.
This novel had good world building, characters had depth and storyline lead you to believe the impossible, left on a cliff hanger , can't wait to start book 2
Well where do I start, The plot fizzled out a little, going through different characters constantly and past and presents gave me whiplash, it was a choice of who to be with back and forth, and it ended well, ended with me wanting to see where her two love interests end up
Ok this book from the start was amazing. At first it was a little slow but then after she got to the other world it went crazy! I loved it so much and I just couldn't put it down. Read this in a couple if hours ! Book two here i come
While the plot itself is exciting, I loved the personal journeys both characters were on. The friends-to-enemies-to-lovers dynamic was *chef's kiss*.
It's on the same level as the other books, Holly Black doesn't disappoint, and a genuinely impressive plot at the end, in addition to the romance very well applied!
The whole series could easily my favourite books. Captivating, blistering and incredibly alluring in every facets. The anticipation is part of the pleasure as I read the 3 books and practically fall in love with Cardan . Mere words can not describe how PERFECT these books really are. Highly recommend.
The Lost Sisters is a tiny story and even tinier than it first appears because the last ten or so pages is an extract from. It's an apology - of sorts - from Taryn to Jude. I love that Black chose to have Taryn directly address Jude as she explains her actions and motivations. It made it a more emotional read.
I enjoyed where Holly took the plot of this book and I felt as if it was an appropriate close to this series that was so different than anything out there. Without spoiling anything, I will say I was happy with the ending provided to each character (with maybe one or two minor exceptions). While this book is not perfect, I do think it was still a 5-star read for me.
Book 2 Air Far series ,The Wicked King follows on from the events that our main protagonist Jude has constructed in the first book, and it’s yet more betrayal and wickedness which will keep you hooked.
The Cruel Prince is one of the most prized novels on my Fantasy shelf at the moment. I loved that Jude was murderous and sneaky. I loved her character. She was a total baddie and I respect that more than you know. I loved seeing her lead and make her own decisions. She was a great female lead that wasn't completely tainted by the hot guy on her arm. Which was very refreshing.
Instead of Four Weddings and a Funeral, The Echo of Old Books is a tale of Four Tragedies and an HEA – at least – and on both counts. The story folds together the bitter and the sweet into a saga that begins in mystery, middles in anger and ends in hope while it puts the readers, both of the story and within the story, through a wringer of emotions, keeping them turning the pages of not just the book in hand, but of the two mysterious books within.
A YA genre , interesting story with romance and thrills tangled in it , not my cup of tea but hey I can say i read it .
Refreshing, full of heart , charming adventures, Makes me yearn for a dog made out of bones, this book has it all T.Kingfisher has a unique voice in fantasy with effortlessly good story telling.
Heir bullying is rife in this book, but the girls give back as good as the get , understanding their order and traversing though shadow magic and blossoming through romances, love and hate collide in this book
Well written series so far authors are clever at leaving wee tit bits and nuggets of information along the story line , relationships are changing, story is back filling and pressing on , it's a wild reading journey, I'm eager to press on to book 4
Story slowly has climaxed , a little spice has entered and the Twins have potentially found their order ...but not quite ...book 3 awaites
A teaser start to the series , lots of unanswered questions, definitely want to continue the series.
A adults fairytale , good read , good revenge
Obsessed ❤️ Fast paced fantasy romance, strong lead characters and Dragons , what more can I say , buckle up for an amazing read .
Firstly the recap was a nice touch at the start of the book , two lead female characters, spice and adventures ,sadly fell abit flat for me , but was a good enough read
A slighty steamy enemies-to-lovers, high-fantasy romance that explores the moral dilemmas of doing what's expected versus what's right.
Morally grey story with spice , at times funny and captivating.. a good read that may hold triggers for some readers
Wow , a breathtaking read , all tied well together for ending that plants a question will there be a spin off with a particular rotten ones brother ?
I don't know how to feel about this book , you have left me wanting more , but no more to read ..
Golly gosh what a cliff hanger , story is spellbound and full of detail , I can't wait for the next one
Wow! Edge of my seat , can not wait to devour the rest of the series
Does not disappoint, makes you want more !
I like the story , I really enjoy her writing and can't wait to read the rest of the series
