  • David Copperfield

    By Charles Dickens
    4 stars

It''s Dickens. It's wonderful. And a few too many words.

  • Time of the child

    By Niall Williams
    5 stars

The writing is exquisite. I clutch this book to my heart and with its companion, "This is happiness" will never let it go. I cannot get enough of this writer and his story telling.

  • Dear Edward

    By Ann Neopolitano
    3 stars

The set up and the characters interested me at first but the story was generally gloomy and sometimes macabre. The friendship between Edward and Shay was the best part. Having said that, Neopolitano is a good writer and I loved "Hello Beautiful".

    By David Baldacci

Not my ususal type of book but I enjoyed it as a holiday read. Kept me guessing and engaged.

  • Spark Hunter

    By Sonya Wilson

Enjoyable for its adventure and mystery, the Fiordland setting, the learning about Maoritanga. Quality Aotearoa NZ fiction for tweens and teens. I recommend it.

  • The eyes and the impossible

    By Dave Eggers

Quirky, lovable characters. Fun and funny.
