Two love stories, one set in WWII the other modern USA. I found the WWII love story to be beautiful and well crafted where the modern love story was more to move the book along than anything else. However the plot twist in the book is fantastic and I highly recommend.
Very easy to read, has a nice flow to the book. A firehouse romance with a few adult themes thrown in, overall not triggering but enough to give the story an edge.
A modern retelling of the Hades and Persephone tale. While the story is light and enjoyable I feel the author has focussed too much on the modern part and a lot of the classic mythology has been missed.
Leaned more about bees than I ever thought I would. Incredibly triggering and covers a lot of really dark stuff but a book that I have reflected on thoroughly and am glad to have read.
A non-triggering mystery. I felt the character's emotions were slightly inauthentic but the story is relatively engaging. Just found out it has been made into a series so eager to see the differences.
I read this book at Christmas time and it was perfect for that time of year. A cozy Christmas read from one of my favourite authors.
A very popular book this year, probably better for older high school students if not adults. Best book of the series.
A beginning of the famous A Court of Thorns and Roses series. Enjoyable faerie romance novel and something our students seem to be reading especially Y10-Y12 but not something I would recommend for study because the concepts are quite shallow.
A great ending to a fantasy series. Not necessarily something I would recommend to students but it seems a lot of them read these types of books.
