Began reading it after watching the show, some very large difference which are interesting to read about.
An excellent book with subtle twists of magic and fantasy creatures. A boy whose family has been destroyed and he's been raised by assassins. 10/10
Alwyn, an outcast, is forced to become a soldier and survive through wars under lady Evadine. Solid story, a unique adult fantasy
One of my most favourite standalone books, absolutely incredible.
Not anywhere close to as good as the first. The first few chapters are good but it slowly gets worse. Don't recommend.
A refreshing type of fantasy story for sure but a lot of graphic scenes. Good writing and story plot
I would sell my soul to read this book for the first time again.
Smashed the book in a day, it's the perfect sequel to Dark Rise and the angst- it's amazing. The ending is one of the best ones I've read before and the depth of the characters are refreshing. 10/10
A good ending but slightly anticlimactic. Didn't like that the MC had to sacrifice her powers. It's a bad cliche but otherwise still one of my favourites.
A great, solid introduction to fantasy through the Inheritance cycle. Inheritance is the fourth book and would have been five stars but Paolini does drawl on a lot (something Tolkien readers are familiar with) and finishes with an unsatisfying ending that I think could have been done better but otherwise love the entire thing. Good for young readers too if they can hold through a long book.
Not as good as the first book and I think the first book was quite misleading. Definitely not for anyone younger than at least 15. I'm not a romantasy reader and if you read ACOTAR expecting it to be like Throne of Glass, you will be disappointed. A DNF on my side.
Marvellous. Incredible. Easier to read than the Silmarillion but highly recommend to anyone that likes Lord of the Rings or any of Tolkiens works.
Not for beginner readers, definitely recommend reading the entire Lord of the Rings series first a few times to understand the world that it takes place in. Otherwise very good and gives deep insight into the world of Arda and the history that took place. (Isn't like a regular book with main protagonist, more of a shortened history book)
