I have been waiting for this book to come out since I read ‘I am pilgrim’. Took me quite a while to actually get around to reading it as I wanted to be able to focus on it but that’s what holidays are for! For me it was worth the wait.
I went to school with Eileen!
I enjoyed this more than I anticipated
I think I’m now up to date in this series?
I read this book only because I had read the other one in the series.
Bit ho hum for me.
The drama in the last quarter of the book saved this book for me.
Set in 1964 in Kings Cross, Australia. While I didn’t enjoy this book as much as other novels by this author it has encouraged me to re read some of her other books that I love.
An interesting mix of characters who are caught up in a cafe siege. You get to hear from each of the characters in relation to the situation, which I thought was great.
A little slow to start but I really enjoyed it once it got going
I enjoyed this book. Quite an involved story with lots of twist along the way.
Very, very twisty
Heartbreaking but lovely at the same time
Enough twists and turns to keep me going
Lots of twists and turns and very funny
