Jujutsu Kaisen has cemented itself as one of the top manga/anime in the past few years since I first read it. It combines the typical shonen tropes with a twist of horror in there that I really liked when I first read it. I've reread and now caught up with the manga and I have a feeling that it's going to be like Demon Slayer. The ramp up of the stakes feels exponential and therefore it might end before it reaches chapter 300. Or I could be wrong, maybe Akutami has a way to expand beyond the big bad that's been built up from the very beginning.
It was a fun little romp. It's good to see Worm taken into another direction apart from the old rehash of Brockton Bay.
Am I adding a fanfic in this? Totally. I spent about a week reading through this, I'm gonna make it count. It's about 870k words and I had Google tell me how many pages that is. Moving on to the review. Is this a power fantasy? Hells yeah it is. But it is always fun to see who the readers will vote for with regards to the next projection. And at some point, you do get used to the second person point of view. Bowler Hat Guy might need someone to beta read some of his stuff because there's still a couple of typos here and there. But hey, it's a fanfic, but still.
A slow read for me just for the fact that I have to stop and think about what I've just read so that I can learn something.
It's always astonishing to see how much work is put into making a movie like Black Panther possible. It's also great to see what inspired the designs seen within the movie.
One of the essay talks about how papers or literature about economics is now more focused and therefore uses a lot more technical jargon which means that normal everyday people like me sometimes find it hard to access. I can confirm that it has sometimes felt like that reading this book so far. I can confidently say that I know a whole lot of nothing about economics.
This is the second time I've read this book and still, I fall for some of the tactics mentioned in this book.
A very cosy read.
Loved her talk so much, I decided to get her book out of the library.
Hasn't really hit its peak yet, but does it do anything revolutionary in its genre? No, absolutely not. Does it look hella cool? Hell yes.
Has been very informative so far.
I hate everyone in this book but I don't meta-hate this book.
Was surprised that it was part of the Walking Dead universe.
A nice little treat.
