  • Chain of Thorns

    By Cassandra Clare
    4 stars

Another excellent book in Clare’s Shadowhunter world. It’s amazing the world she has managed to create through the many books!

  • Call Me Evie

    By J.P. Pomare
    4 stars

This book keeps you guessing all the way through, as the storyline weaves between ‘before’ and ‘after’ a traumatic event. However, I don’t feel completely satisfied with the ending?

  • A Slow Fire Burning

    By Paula Hawkins
    3 stars

While there were some twists and turns in this book, the end was a touch predictable.

  • Hello Beautiful

    By Ann Napolitano
    3 stars

I wanted to like this book more than I did. It reads like someone who studied writing, i.e. the writing style felt like something she had to do, rather than something that naturally flowed. I think this would make an interesting movie/tv series.

  • Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

    By J.K. Rowling
    5 stars

Best book in the series and the best movie. Long life sassy Harry!

  • The Girl in the Mirror

    By Rose Carlyle
    5 stars

Wow, this book was so much more than I expected. It starts a bit slow, but there are so many twists and turns that you’re never quite sure what will happen next. Literally couldn’t put it down!

  • Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

    By J.K. Rowling

    Umbridge is worse than Voldemort.

  • The Ugly Truth

    By L.C. North
    4 stars

I like the way this story is told through interview transcripts, tweets, blog posts etc. I would’ve liked there to be a bit more to the ending? It ended quite abruptly.

  • The Queen of Bloody Everything

    By Joanna Nadin

  • Here for the Right Reasons

    By Jodi McAlister
    5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. It’s an easy to read, light hearted rom-com. Perfect holiday reading!

  • Unsheltered

    By Clare Moleta
    4 stars

This is a fascinating read about a mother’s journey to find her daughter in a post-apocalyptic world. It would make an incredible movie.

  • Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

    By J.K. Rowling
    5 stars

It’s crazy what a school will let their students get up to!

  • Cuz

    By Liz van der Laarse
    3 stars

The storyline in this book is great, but it felt rushed and too short. I would have liked a deeper dive into the characters themselves, rather than just the story of what they did to survive.

  • Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

    By J.K. Rowling
    5 stars

Reliving my childhood, one book at a time.

  • Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

    By J.K. Rowling
    5 stars

Re-reading the Harry Potter series because my husband is FINALLY reading the ones he missed (5, 6, and 7) and it inspired me to re-read them. :)

  • Empire of Pain: The Secret History of the Sackler Dynasty

    By Patrick Radden Keefe
    5 stars

A fascinating and horrifying dive into the cause of the opioid epidemic in the U.S. It's scary to think how much power this family had over the lives of millions of everyday people, like you and I.
