A fun late '80s romp through the eyes of a medical resident in a Brisbane hospital. Testosterone-laden, with dry humour and some intellectual joking around, when I read this the first time, I'd never heard of a doona. And a Porky Pig doona at that.
A challenge at first but became fascinating, with a beautiful setting, amazing characters, great writing, and a strangely endearing narrator. I didn't want the book to end, and felt a little lost without it.
