This is unabashedly a YA love story in the romcom tradition. It's thoughtfully written and the characters are wonderful. Some of the plot seems a little unlikely, but nothing out-of-the ordinary for the genre. I highly enjoyed it.
Light reading but fun.
Very evocatively written with excellent characterisation. I'm disappointed there wasn't more character development throughout the storyline. That said, the historic setting was unusual, interesting, and believably written.
Outstanding history of Lesbian Fashion with a primary focus on Western culture, particularly UK/Europe and the USA. Also a whose-who of prominent lesbians and the spaces lesbians congregated (e.g. bars, theaters, music hall etc).
A privilege to read an autobiographical work by a woman I know. This was an incredibly unique experience for me, and the first of its kind I have had.
Well written and I loved the 1920s Singapore setting. Definitely aimed at an adult audience.
Outstanding and important - but mind the caution note regarding violence.
