This beautiful novel is one of grief, loneliness, longing and resilience. It’s a story of finding your place, as a migrant, in this world and forging forward.

This novel was fine but not riveting.

  • What does it feel like?

This beautifully written autobiographical novella had me in tears. One of my favourite authors shares her story of being diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma. Throughout the novella she still manages to find humour in every situation.

This one definitely tricked me with a great twist at the end.

Enjoyable, easy read. I did guess the plot twist about a third of the way into the book though.

Very interesting read. Heartbreaking and fairly depressing but hard to put down.

Very interesting book! I was not aware that Shakespeare possibly had multiple ghost writers.

I really disliked this book! It was well written, of course, but it was not my cup of tea at all! Sorry.

I struggled to finish this one. It took me a few months. I know loads of people love it but I found the medical descriptions to be far too descriptive. It didn't hold my interest.

  • The Nightingale

This book was beautiful and heartbreaking. I was completely fooled until the end, thinking the narrator was Isabelle. I bawled my eyes out at the end of this one!

  • Here One Moment

I absolutely loved this book! It was not my typical genre to be honest but I thought it was amazing! I love the way Liane weaves the lives of her characters together as the book progresses. The idea of a woman walking through a plane and telling people how and when they are going to die is spine-chilling to me. I love the way we learn more and more about Cherry's life as we read on. My husband and two daughters read this book and we all really enjoyed it, despite us having different taste in genres.
