A very enjoyable sleuth with a woman investigating which was refreshing
Nice to read a book set in NZ even if a teenage novel. Margaret Mahy can certainly spin a tale!
A story about family. Another book I could not put down and didn't want to end! Such deep, rich characters that capture you heart.
I absolutely loved his book, 'All The Light We Cannot See' and this earlier once was completely different but equally as engaging. A very different premise that draws you in to find out what happened...
About the Wager Mutiny in 1741. Historical novel with such a difference. Could not put it down!
Although written over 20 years ago this political novel is so relevant today. It weaves traditional stories with current realities. An enlightening and challenging read.
This book is an historical weaving a fiction and non-fiction. I have never read anything quite like it. It is heart wrenching and a stark reminder of intergenerational trauma and racial inequity which is hugely appropriate given our current political climate.
