  • Home Truths

    By Charity Norman
    5 stars

Given the fact that there is a father who has disappeared with his young children, it makes this book interesting but of course this is fiction and the mystery and emotions keep you involved.

  • Good Wives?

    By Margaret Forster
    5 stars

Reading this brings up many questions about how marriage, whether common law or otherwise has really changed that much. In many ways perhaps we can see it has but in other underlying ways, it may not have.

  • Vanished

    By Danielle Steel
    3 stars

An easy read, reasonably intriguing but somewhat simplistic in terms of the ending relationship.

  • To Save a People

    By Alex Kershaw
    5 stars

I'm always astounded by the courage and bravery of those people who worked tirelessly to guard the freedom of the Jewish people (and others) during Hitler's invasions and reign of power. I didn't know of Raoul Wallenberg before reading this book but it makes me question how brave would I or others be in the same situation.

  • The Return

    By Hisham Matar
    4 stars

This made me feel so grateful to live in Aotearoa NZ. The author had no resolution at the end of the book. It gives an idea of the history of Libya, from the Italians to the King and on to Gadaffi.
