I liked the narrative but some of the characters journey were a bit lack luster. A great read. . love Kaladin but for me Spren Rule. . .
The second part of the duology. A good story with again a twist or two that has a satisfying ending if a bit staid. Again a great read that is not taxing at all. Give this author a try !
A fantasy setting for initially a court drama that turns into a prison break with a twist at the end. Part 1 of a Duology. A great read that is not taxing with a good plot and characters that you can like as well. I do not think this author (Ausie) is well known, but she should be.
A fantasy setting with a who dunnit vibe. A good read where there is a good twist at the end. Recommend for all! An easy read with a satisfying ending.
Finally the series gets going. The hero, actually comes to his senses and saves the day. I think there may be another book - however the strain of reading 3 was enough. A cliff hanger of an ending.
A one day read that is obviously written by his brother as not up to normal standards. A good filler while struggling to get through another book that is hard to consume.
A good one day read. Easy going plot. A normal James Patterson story really.
A slow starting book, just a quick read. English very modern and not energy consuming to digest. Story run of the mill. A good book to read in a day.
A great idea of magicians in power and commoners used as the underclass. The main character is horrible, but the demon is brilliant and for an evil djinn has the best set of values going.
John Mandrake the main character is unlikeable but the demon and the rebel make up for this. A hard read. Good premise.
Loved this book as watched the TV series. I think that the TV series made the book better. Atticus Pund did not end his life in the TV version but overall a good light read.
I thought it would be good however, it was boring and not going at a pace at all. The plot was also predictable. A double murder!!!
The author is in the book, writing it for a detective who is investigating a murder. It was a good premise, but it was a bit too pompous, ie going on about his connections etc and so I read it quickly. Good light read for holidays and train journeys.
Bast is a Farie, a mythical creature who supports the main character in the Kingkiller Chronicle's. This book follows his exploits over a few days, showing how he follows his hear to bargain and even help children in the next village. It shows his good nature coupled with his ingrained attitude that all Faries have.
