After many recommendations, I finally read this book. It was a lovely story with mystery and beautiful places. Well written, great characters.
A powerful true story of how relationships can overcome any obstacles and persevere with faith and love. Through quadriplegia, cancer and other life obstacles, Joni and Ken show how with faith and love you can keep going. Even when it feels impossible.
An excellent account of Elijah's life in detail. Many good applications of what we can learn from Elijah's life and apply to our own, especially in his breakdowns and imperfections. Got me thinking about a number of topics.
It's interesting to read the story of Wonder from a different point of view. Good messages about belonging and friendship and opinions of others.
I loved this account of being an undercover operative in occupied France during World War 2. As a 102 year, Pippa recounts her time as a secret agent in Churchills SOA program. She tells it as it was and nothing gets dramatized through elaborate writing.
It takes a while to get moving but then it is a moving tale of how two women are trying to make a difference in the war and help all the people they can. Also shows how important the secret publications were for the resistance work and the bravery of those who ran them.
Beautifully written characters and a wonderful portrayal of how words have power. I found learning how the oxford dictionary was created fascinating.
Another good Lincoln Lawyer book. Good mystery and court room drama. Different enough from the TV show seasons that it wasn't spoiled. A great read.
An exciting adventure that keeps you hooked in. Great characters. The ending is bittersweet, but fast-paced.
A thrilling mystery that is as good as the first book. Twists and turns, great characters and a multi layered mystery. Very sad in sections.
A lovely children's story about a gang of children stuck in the hospital and how midnight adventures keep their spirits high. Hilarious antics and characters. A fun read.
A deeply moving account of a boy struggling with his gender identity. Heart warming characters and realistic portrayal. Very sad in places, but uplifting in others.
A fun and quirky children's story about a boy who thinks his granny is boring but quickly finds out she is definitely not. A great adventure and funny characters.
An engaging action thriller. Keeps you on the edge as you hope the character can beat the odds stacked against him.
