  • The Women

    By Kristen Hannah
    5 stars

So fascinating - the women's (nurses) perspective of the Vietnam war, both in-country and back home. It was such an amazing story to see how minority groups were treated - women, women of colour, veterans - and responses to the trauma of loss and what they experienced.

  • Kinky History

    By Esme Louise James
    3 stars

An interesting narrative around human's 'intimate lives, past and present'. Some fascinating stories and an interesting method of storytelling - the author is famous from this series on TikTok and has adapted it into a 'dinner party' where experts are invited to share insight - a creative way to introduce academic research into the book while not being too boring for a younger audience.

  • The Girl in the Painting

A quick and easy read. Interesting characters, and I would enjoy seeing Jane develop in further books although it is not a series.

  • The Catch

    By T M Logan
    5 stars

I enjoyed the book, but did find the main characters made me so angry - an indication of great character development.

    5 stars

I adored this book. A really interesting storyline. I did get confused with the dates a little bit, mostly as I was reading it digitally so couldn't go back to check things easily, but got used to it and adored the story.

  • The Dutch House

    By Ann Patchett
    4 stars

It was an interesting story, but does jump back and forth a lot. I enjoyed it.
