My first time reading one of her books and I understand the hype! Really enjoyed it, definitely had some dark aspects, but overall a really great read!

  • Life of Riley: Beginner’s Luck

    By Simon James Green
    5 stars

Read this book in class with my Year 5/6 students and they all absolutely loved it. The mixed in humour of Riley throughout the book makes it one you can laugh with and have entertaining conversations around! Highly recommend!

An amazing book touching on Canadian Indigenous ways of knowing. I’ve had this novel on my list for years and haven’t come around to reading it. But wow why have I put it off for so long, it was an incredibly informative but not too complex way of learning a little more about our Indigenous communities.

  • One Day in December

    By Josie Silver

A cute easy-to-read romance book with various points of view and dated chapters that help progress the storyline.

  • Yellowface

    By R. F. Kuang

An entertaining read that has been on my list for a while. I’d recommend giving it a read, a very different style of book that I usually gravity towards.

A very cheesy book with a lot of predictable plot twists. It was a decent book that I still liked reading, but found there to be a lot of excess content and details that weren’t necessarily needed.
