Light & fluffy enjoyable read.
Highly engaging Australian crime novel about a 12yo girl going missing in a small town and the people in her world. Reminiscent of The Dry by Jane Harper.
What a beautiful book to start 2025. It was a bit slow to start with, but I was completely enthralled by the end. So unique and interesting. Highly recommended.
A remarkable book! I loved how Elif Shafak cleverly links people together across time and place through the symbolism of a drop of water.
I really disliked this one and stopped reading a couple of times, intending not to finish. However, I left it on my nightstand and picked it up again twice after reading other books, just because I was curious to see what happened. Rarely have I encountered such an unlikeable narrator and the book was full of so much bitchiness. A sad indictment on human behaviour.
Light & fluffy, enjoyable read.
