A fantastic sci-fi dystopian fictional novel set in future Wellington. The central themes of the book revolve around the struggles of maintaining one’s cultural identity while being part of a modern, sometimes alienating, society. A poignant allegory for the historic treatment of Māori people, this is a must-read.
An easy read, with an immersive plot set in the late 1800's in the Bay of Plenty. Nice to read a book where you can picture the locations and settings!
Fictionalized story of Katharina Kepler, accused of witchcraft at the same time her son was struggling to get astronomical theories written and accepted. Quite witty, a little bit slow-paced but overall enjoyable.
A worthy sequel to Throne of Glass, this one didn't have me as captivated, but I think it was a necessary step in the right direction to continue an overarching series plot for the next several books.
Gripping from start to finish, and SJM stays true to her incredible world-building skills.
