Great backstory through prequel novellas of the main character in the Throne Of Glass series. Gives a lot of context to why she is how she is. Enjoyed these short narratives immensely! Very sad ending even though you know what’s coming if you have read the main series.

Witty, funny, enthralling, shocking. A roller coaster of emotions through this book, I cannot wait for the movie to come out in 2026. A high school science teacher gets roped into saving the human race… I’ll say no more due to spoilers. A must read!

A lovely little extra to the amazing series of His Dark Materials (Spoilers ahead!). Filled with gorgeous wee woodcut illustrations to accompany the story, the short narrative follows Lyra after her return to her own world- two years after the end of HDM. A short encounter with a Witch’s daemon sets off the brief adventure. A great read for those not quite ready to let go of the world they’ve been immersed in during the prior trilogy.

A fantastic sci-fi dystopian fictional novel set in future Wellington. The central themes revolve around the struggles of maintaining one’s cultural identity while being part of a modern, sometimes alienating, society. A poignant allegory for the historic treatment of Māori people, this is a must-read.

A worthy sequel to Throne of Glass, this one didn't have me as captivated, but I think it was a necessary step in the right direction to continue an overarching series plot for the next several books.
