#3 of Cormac Reilly and I am really liking the series. Although these are stand alone, there is enough back story and references to make me feel that you need to read them in order.
back to getting my geek on. A very interesting spin on real life as a pathologist in NZ and both the newsworthy and novel cases that have crossed his desk.
Again a new author for me. Need to go back to read in order.
#3 in the Palmer and Evans series. This time the 'friends' just want to travel together to Budapest, but mystery and intrigue has a way of finding them.
#2 in the Palmer and Evans series and the plot thickens in the beautiful city of Amsterdam.
A reread rather than a new read. The author is a former UK colleague (English teacher). I have got a little behind his output (now 11 books and I am due to start #5!). I felt like I needed to go back for the back story. The detective fiction series is set in various destinations that Ben has visited on holiday and act as travel inspiration as well as a good read. Here in the first book we are off to Lisbon and our protagonists meet for the first time.
#2 in the Cormac O'Reilly series. I could be hooked.
#1 in this iconic series of books - strange that I am just getting into them. Trying to read them in order now.
A glorious romp from Alfred the Great to Elizabeth I, with the dry wit you would expect from David Mitchell. You can hear his voice through the book. On a more serious note - he is trained as a historian so think more QI - facts + wit!
