Fantastic reflection on lockdown by different visual artists.
Intense read where two twins go sailing... definitely a thriller.
Amazing audiobook--Julia Roberts read the parts by Lisa Marie Presley and Riley Keough read her own parts. Definitely worth your time. I knew nothing about either women and very little about Elvis going into this and I have a better understand of them all now.
Intense but engaging view into early-teen life. It's hard to fit in :(
Fun detective novel for book lovers. Great premise! Found it had too many characters by the end; hard to care about them all.
This is what summer is for!
Reading a book that isn't based on your own experience is so important, especially when it's someone you don't seem to agree with. I'm really intrigued by this book.
V spicy hockey romance. Some good depth to it, and a Canadian writer! Unforntuately, the audiobook narrator mispronounced 'toque', a very Canadian word. Now only 4 stars haha.
A wild story following a Palestinian immigrant as she unpacks American consumerism and teaches a class of grade 8 boys.
Brilliant and fun book. Loved every minute :)
A single mother's son goes missing the night of lockdown and she's determined to find him. I *did not* see that twist coming. It was awesome. And the last 1/3 is the start of 17 Years Later, so I'm excited to find that book now.
Slow-paced thriller. The dual POV adds depth to the narrative.
Fun romance about second chances and figuring out priorities.
Fun YA focusing on purpose, standing up for yourself, understanding privilege and the power of deep bonds. Super fun book with great fight scenes.
Couldn't stop reading, but didn't find the characters believable. Definitely thrilling.
Intense read where ash descends on the people in rural NZ and a mother has had enough. Great depiction of female rage. Reminded me of Nightbitch by Yoder.
Lovely romance with found-family. I laughed, I cried. Not a lot of spice, but lots of stolen moments.
Lovely Christmas story by a brilliant writer.
Very spicy--reader beware!
Cute enemies-to-lovers story featuring bakers! Very Bake Off (so I'm told haha). Loved it.
Brilliant read! Linking three characters with one drop of water, Sharks has crafted a thoughtful and deep story.
Second in the Flora Valley series; it's a fun story to read at the beach (or to smash on the first day of the summer break!).
Intense story, similar to Strange Sally Diamond. Definitely recommend for an intense thriller/crime.
Cute romance set in wine country SoCal. Pretty spicy, so be ye warned.
One a day until Christmas; such an awesome concept!
Gorgeous and heartbreaking look at how a town's morals can be corrupted simply because no one wants to rock the boat.
Fantastic insight into how a lack of understanding and generosity can ruin a relationship.
Mystical reality book where a worldwide flu makes it so people can talk to animals. Very cool!
Bizarre read, but quite engaging. I just wanted to know what the point was, but maybe that was the point haha.
Brilliant YA fantasy-adventure. Great story telling, fantastic twists and turns. I'm frothing for the next!
