The world is in chaos … but Westport might have a chance in surviving it, if everyone comes together. Fight for your rights, even if you’re a paranormal being.

  • The Librarian of Crooked Lane

    By C. J. Archer
    3 stars

Hmm, I’m undecided. It’s difficult to get into the book but I like the ideas and story. Will probably read at least one more in the series to make up my mind.

  • The Wicche Glass Tavern

    By Seana Kelly
    4 stars

The story continues… Sam finds a long lost relative & is trying to master her necromancy skills. Her aunt is still hunting her to break the course of their bloodline plus Fae are disliking our main fmc. Other than that, life is great with Clive. Ohhh, and Sam is learning how to drive.

  • Iron Flame

    By Rebecca Yarros
    4 stars

2nd time read before I delved into 3rd (newest) book. Story continues nicely but it felt at times forced or sped up. Still, great read and iconic addition to the genre.

  • Fourth Wing

    By Rebecca Yarros
    5 stars

I re-read the story before I started last book of the trilogy and the nuance and story was great 2nd time around. You forget the small details and both times I was hooked and couldn’t put this book away.

  • Onyx Storm

    By Rebecca Yarros
    4 stars

The story unfolds and finishes. It’s honestly one of THE sagas at this stage for fantasy genre. Students will love it. I adore the twists and changes so the story is fresh and you really feel like a kid on a Christmas Day - excited to read it! I bet there’ll be a tv show or a film series.

  • The Dead Don’t Drink at Lafitte’s

    By Seana Kelly
    4 stars

Action moved to New Orleans and things keep developing. Pace & writing are good and you keep learning more about the world & characters. Quirky character, a little humour and a bit of action.

  • Well of Magic

    Story continues…

  • Wild Scottish Fortune

    By Tricia O’Malley

The saga of Loren Brad continues. This time we have Orla & Fin. Construction businesswoman with a house witchy gift meets Fin, slightly traumatised by family but ready for a fresh start male lead.

  • The Slaughtered Lamb

    By Seana Kelly
    4 stars

It’s rare to read a book with new twists & turns in a paranormal genre. This one offers the fresh breath you’re looking for. I don’t want to spoil too much but the main female character is going for fearsome.

  • Vā: Stories by Women of the Moana

    By Lani Wendt Young
    4 stars

The intrigue, fantasy, humour and magic of beautiful strong stories by 38 writers from across the Moana. Worth reading and getting a glimpse to a world from w different perspective.

  • Infinity Chronicles book 1

    By Albany Walker
    2 stars

Not so good first instalment in a series. It’s poorly written and the story has holes like a Swiss cheese.

  • Wolfsbane

    By Lola Glass
    3 stars

Nice paranormal fantasy rom-com. Is it the best book ever? No, but it’s an enjoyable summer read and I don’t regret my time with this series. All 5 books are printed as a completed novel which is easier to follow the story.

  • Night Stalker

    By BR Kingsolver
    4 stars

Continuation of the story. I love how the writer is mixing all paranormals in a ‘coming of age’ story of the female character. I can imagine young female adults loving this series.

  • Shadow Hunter

    By BR Kingsolver
    4 stars

Welcome to the Irish pub for not-so normal clientele. Nice story with characters you’ll emphasise with.

  • Dark Dancer

    By BR Kingsolver
    4 stars

3rd book in the series about the barman with a past. Really nice main female character with troubled upbringing, changing her life on the path of redemption. Easy read, and enjoyable with enough to keep paranormal genre fans entertained.

  • Grey Dawn

    By Hailey Edward’s
    3 stars

Last book of the series. It was nice to have everything finalised and all plots closed. It felt rushed and didn’t have enough depth to hook you in.

  • Wild Scottish Beauty

    By Tricia O’Malley
    4 stars

And she’s back… 5th book in the series and the enchantment from the first book is back. I might be biased as the female MC is curvy but absolutely loved this one. Male MC is a kilt-maker being the boss, teacher & train from the past. Honestly, what could go wrong when the girl he likes is his best friend’s sister. You know what will happen but there’s enough twist and turns to keep it fresh.

  • The Hawthorne Legacy

    By Jennifer Lynn Barnes
    3 stars

Second book in the instalment. Good mystery for young adults. It’s not as engaging as the first book but it’s a nice read.

  • A kilt for Christmas

    By Tricia O’Mailey
    2 stars

Hmm, both MCs are interesting, as most characters in this series but the magic of the first book is somehow gone. I struggled to read one in one go as the hook wasn’t as strong. Typical story of strangers, stack in a cottage during heavy snow to becoming a couple.

  • Bring Me Your Midnight

    By Rachel Griffin
    5 stars

Beautifully atmospheric novel. Witches tale of belonging. Worth your time!

  • Wild Scottish Rose

    By Tricia O’Malley
    2 stars

Continuation of the series, book 4, and it’s not as grand as I wished was. The stories feel like template and except mcs characteristics, everything is following a pattern. Hope this will change around in later books to make it worthwhile for the reader. Still a nice summer read but meh, I could’ve lived without it.

  • Wild Scottish Love

    By Tricia O’Malley
    4 stars

This can be a stand-alone book or the continuation. I honestly love how quirky this series and add the Scottish flavour to super-natural lighthearted stories.

  • Into the Fire

    By Jeaniene Frost
    3 stars

Last instalment in a story of Leila & Vlad (Dracul). There are some truly gruesome scenes across this saga that are not the best for younger readers however books are aimed at young adults. I’m torn, I wanted to love it more. First book hooked me but the more you read, the less you’re into the story of these two main characters. Kat & Bones story (graveyard witch) is a better option.

  • Dark Wolf

    By Christine Feehan
    4 stars

Skyler is a young woman with a troubled past, explored in previous books of The Carpathian series. This time, it’s the turn for a woman to rescue her captive beloved. Typical for my taste, you’ll have vampires & shifters plus a bit of sass. Story can be read alone or as a part of series; I must say that Skyler’s arc pulls my heart strings.

  • The Inheritance Games

    By Jennifer Lynn Barnes
    4 stars

Deadly stakes & dark family secrets to be uncovered by Avery. MFC is savvy due to her tough life and she is bracing the inheritance of the recently passed stranger. Really enjoyable story and I understand why people are talking this book.

  • Gray Days

    By Bailey Edwards
    3 stars

Welcome back to the Black Hat Bureau in this 9th book in a series. Everything is in rumble, old enemies return and Rue is fighting with her guilt. One of my favourite things about this series that the main female character relationship feels a bit more real … it’s not all roses & chocolates although food is quite important to characters. Paranormal romance with tiny surprises, nice summer read - you’ll finish it in a day. Not the best book in the series, it’s better to start at the beginning.

  • Wild Scottish Knight

    By Tricia O’Malley
    4 stars

Easy read with a typical storyline… American inherits a Scottish castle. She becomes a knight and falls for the castle’s caretaker. She is a quirky heroine but you can emphasise with her journey. Throw in a little bit of Scottish folk tales & magic, and you have a nice Summer read. You won’t be disappointed, especially if you liked The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot.

  • The Black Bird Oracle

    By Deborah Harkness
    4 stars

It's an epic continuation of Diana & Matthew's saga. The story surrounds Diana's heritage and roots, finding the place (and forgotten family) she belongs too. In a true D. Harkness style you will be transported to everyday no-so-casual world of magic & wonder. Some of the themes are more mature but well worth reading for evocative writing.
