Brilliant, fast paced with an array of interesting characters.

  • We Solve Murders

    By Richard Osman
    5 stars

If you loved The Thursday Murder Club books, this one is even better. The characters are all delightful - even the bad guys! Great twists and turns throughout. He is such a great story teller while keeping people real and adding his sense of humour to most of the situations the group find themselves in. Best book I've read in a while!

  • One False Move

    By Robert Goddard
    5 stars

Great story telling with the suspense happening now but the story starting 40 years before. Robert Goddard is a master at developing characters.

  • This is the night they come for you

    By Robert Goddard
    5 stars

Loved this book. Covers the French/Algerian history from the 60's to almost current day. I was totally unaware of most of this. Great characters and plot.

Some interesting characters and interesting plot with a twist.

  • The Coworker

    By Freida McFadden
    3 stars

A good read but didn't find myself liking any of the characters.

  • A Court of Silver Flames

    By Sarah J Maas
    5 stars

Final in the series and my favourite. This book centers more on one of the other sisters of the main protagonist through the series and is full of action, violence, romance (and sex!). Great final book.

  • A Court of Frost and Starlight

    By Sarah J Maas
    4 stars

This was the 4th in the series (although some websites had it listed as 5th, but chronologically, definitely 4th). Good read but much smaller than the others with not quite as much action. When reading the acknowledgements by the Author at the end, it was obvious that she had been through a lot personally during the time she was writing this book and this may have impacted on the final result.

  • A Court of Wings and Ruin

    By Sarah J Maas
    4 stars

3rd book in this epic series. Character development has been great and it has made me want to keep reading to see what will happen next!

  • A Court of Mist and Fury

Second book in the series. Continues on from where the first left off - just as enjoyable

  • A Court of Thorns and Roses

    By Sarah J Maas
    4 stars

First book in a 5 book Fantasy Romance series. Not my usual kind of read but really enjoyed it. Lots of interesting characters, fast paced and very spicy!

  • Reminders of Him

Easy enjoyable read with a happy ending as always!

  • It Ends With Us

    By Colleen Hoover
    5 stars

Loved it! The characters, despite being flawed in some cases, were relatable and likeable. Very easy book to read and I didn't want it to finish. Have now started reading the sequel......

  • Remember Her Name

    By Lisa Regan
    4 stars

Book 21 in Detective Josie Quinn Series. Fast paced and a twist at the end. Enjoyable.

  • Wool

    By Hugh Howey
    4 stars

I enjoyed this book although it was a little slow to grab me, but enjoyed the characters that developed. A sad way to look at how the world could be in the future. This is the first of 3 books but as the print was very small and the content quite intense I think I will have a break before the second novel.

  • Autumns Game

    By Mary Stone
    3 stars

A spin off from the previous "Winter" series I was reading. I just think I'm over it now!

  • Winters End

    By Mary Stone
    3 stars

This book continues to follow Winter Black (FBI Agent). Some inconsistences starting to show in that the Author still refers to the her parents murder and brothers abduction as happening 13 years ago - as in book 1 - but I am sure we have had at least 3 Christmas's over the course of the books. This one didn't grip me at all and I found her character slightly annoying this time and a little immature. Don't think I'll carry on with this series for a while.

  • Winters Storm

    By Mary Stone
    4 stars

The 8th book in the Winter Series. FBI Agent Winter Black continues to help find serial killers while continuing her hunt for her brother who was taken at the age of 6 by the man responsible for her parents murder. 15 years have gone by and it is unlikely that her brother is the person she remembered.......
