    3 stars

Diane seems to have the perfect life. But when she looses her husband and daughter in a car accident, she gets trapped in a downward spiral haunted by memories. After a year she moves to Ireland to rebuild her life. The story line went down hill from there. Lots of cliches and characters that were a bit over the top.

A story about loss and secrets. When Kathryn Lyons’ husband, Jack, dies in a plane crash, she begins to uncover shocking truths about his life. • Lola‘s Secret

    By Monica McInerney
    5 stars

It is a sequel to Monica‘s previous novel ‚The Alphabet Sisters‘. It is an easy read and centers around a eccentric 84 year old woman and her relationships with members of her family, her friends and past relationships. It also includes Australian themes and Christmas traditions. I found the book sometimes funny and sometimes moving.

  • The Olive Sisters

    By Amanda Hampson
    4 stars

The Olive Sisters is a tale of family, heritage, and self-discovery. It tells a little bit about Italian immigrants to Australia. When city-dweller Adrienne inherits a neglected olive farm, she uncovers the rich history of the Olive Sisters and finds herself reconnecting with her roots. There were no big surprises in the plot and the outcome of the story.
