Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus is a novel that reminds us of the realities of this time for women in science. Set in the 1960s, the book highlights Elizabeth's brilliance as a chemist, but it also paints a vivid picture of the societal pressures and personal challenges she faces of which there are many. I really appreciated the way this book represents someone who's thoughts are more black and white as still human.
